Molefi Kete Asante

Author of 72 books and more than 500 articles, Molefi Kete Asante is the most prolific African American scholar. His publications have included all genres: criticism, fiction, poetry, historical essays, bibliographic and encyclopaedic entries, drama, and textbooks. He has appeared on Sixty Minutes, Nightline, BET, Lehrer News Hour, Today Show, the Tony Brown Show, Night Watch, and Like It Is and more than one hundred local and international television shows. Famous as the founder of the Afrocentric movement, Asante continues to speak throughout the world.
